Shell Drop open on an iPhone Duo held in two hands

Why it's here

Not for

You need your own server, Mac or VPS reachable over SSH; with nothing to connect to, there is nothing to run.

About Shell Drop

Shell Drop is a terminal for iPhone, iPad and iPhone Duo built for running coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex in tmux on a machine you reach over SSH. You can paste screenshots into a session, attach files and photos that upload to the server, and dictate into the prompt with Apple's on-device speech or your own Groq key. It understands tmux: swipe up and down for history, sideways to switch sessions, and tab names follow session names. It generates Ed25519 or Secure Enclave keys, imports OpenSSH keys, has a customisable key toolbar with sticky ctrl and supports Nerd Fonts. There is no account and no telemetry.

Version 5.2.2 (28 October) added iPhone Duo support: the terminal runs edge to edge on the inner display, two SSH sessions can sit side by side, and on the cover screen content stays clear of the status column. The maker's blog shows a single terminal across the open Duo, with session tabs at the top and the key toolbar at the bottom.
