People happy with Apple's Camera app will not want to pay for manual controls and RAW work they will not use.
Halide is a camera app with manual control over focus, shutter speed, ISO and white balance. Process Zero shoots without Apple's computational photography, and its Looks, made with the colourist Cullen Kelly, change how the photo is captured rather than filtering it afterwards. Focus peaking, a focus loupe, framing guides and a macro mode help with composition. Photo Lab adjusts framing, exposure and Looks, and Tone Fusion recovers highlights and shadows. It also opens RAW files from Apple's camera and from Canon, Nikon, Sony, Leica, Fujifilm and Hasselblad cameras. It is a paid app with a free trial.
Version 3.3.0 (26 October) added iPhone Duo support. Closed, the toolbar moves to a sidebar so the viewfinder is unobstructed; open, a second panel shows your last shot; half-open, one tap swaps the camera's position for a waist-level viewfinder. Lux's page shows a just-taken photo with delete, favourite, edit and share buttons on the left and the live viewfinder on the right on the open Duo.
